“Free To Be…” – Jeana Murray-Nieporte

Free To BeOn February 20th, Patterson Avenue Baptist Church celebrated “WMU Focus Sunday.” The women of Patterson Avenue led worship – as they so effectively lead in all areas of congregational life.

Our guest preacher was my lovely wife, Jeana Murray-Nieporte, and she did a terrific job. Her text was Hebrews 12:1-2 and Acts 2:16-18 (which is a quote from Joel). The title was “Free to Be…” The first few minutes was lost due to some tech difficulties, but the bulk of the message came through just fine.

The picture here is of Jeana when she was a young girl and felt God’s call into the ministry.  She is a gifted educator, has an angelic like singing voice, and preaches under the leadership of the Holy Spirit with power and clarity.  (Oh, she’s also a short woman – just 4’11″ – but she carries herself confidently, as one who knows she is loved and accepted by our Triune God.

Oh, sure, I am partial.  Listen to the sermon attached and tell me what you think.
