I stopped to get a drink of soda this afternoon from a fast-food-joint. This place has Coke-Zero, only slightly more healthy than the regular brand.
A couple of Henrico County’s finest we eating lunch.
I went over to the table. One was an attractive young woman. The other, perhaps her partner, was of Hispanic descent – closer to my age.
Me: “Thanks for your service!”
Her: “That really means a lot.”
Him: “Especially today!”
Me: “Stay safe!”
They: “We’ll do our best”
Not much…but a lot.
