Here’s the sermon video for the sermon preached on November 2, 2014, at the Patterson Avenue Baptist Church in Richmond, VA. You can watch the video below. A podcast can be downloaded at the church website: Patterson Avenue Baptist Church The sermon is titled: “A Fully Engaged God” and is based on I Samuel 3:1-20 and John 1:43-51
The sermon works from the assumption that most people do not hear or believe that God has a plan, purpose, or mission for their lives. Rather, God’s call is for the SHHP (the Super Hired Holy Person). And the reason people do not believe God’s call includes them is because THEY DO NOT BELIEVE GOD IS FULLY ENGAGED in their lives. Whether they admit it or not, they worship a limited engagement God. This sermon explore the revolutionary changes that could occur if we actually and whole-heartedly believe in “A Fully Engaged God.”
