It was a personal study project a few years ago. I wanted to learn how the stock market worked.
I studied the DOW, mutual funds, stock valuation, etc. I learned about P/E, P/B, P/CF – all kinds of terms, many of which I have since forgotten.
I decided to put my knowledge to work and invested $1000.00 in a few stocks and IPOs. The results were astounding. In less than three months that $1000.00 had become $6237.00
Not bad, you say. But here’s the catch. The profits were pretend. They were all in a “dummy account.” No actual money was invested, and no actual money was gained. No risk – No reward.
That’s the way it is with personal growth and development. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
